I'm gussing the OP is referring to water marks...they are the only thing that would appear like 'spots' in the clearcoat.

If you're wanting to remove these, you'll need to use an abrasive polish such as Ultimate Compound to level the paint. Then use a finer polish (such as SwirlX or M205) to refine the finish. Such people like to follow this with something like #7 (hand) or #80 (machine) to improve the gloss before applying their LSP (wax or sealant).

most probably a cleaner, cleaner-wax do the job without needing to polish. Well that depends how deep are the spots.
