Re: Using a wax over Meguiar's Synthetic Sealant 2.0 (#21)
It's okay to put a natural wax on top of synthetic wax (sealant) but not reverse.
Many detailers do it to have long protection as a base (sealant) and high gloss on top of it (carnauba).
Don't forget 12-hour cure time for the sealant.

If you like the gloss which carnauba (natural) waxes offer than you could put a coat of it on top of your sealant.
Synthetic waxes last longer. They form polymer cross-linking when they bond to a surface. Carnauba waxes form kind of a shell for protection.
Natural waxes are Gold Class Carnauba Plus and M26 High Tech Yellow Wax (has small amount of polymers).
Synthetic waxes (sealants) are Next Tech Wax 2.0 and M21 2.0 Synthetic Sealant.
Ultimate Wax is 100% synthetic. It offers longest protection, from all Meguiar's waxes, and increased gloss.
For daily drivers cleaner waxes work pretty well. They are all in one products (cleaning/ polishing/ waxing).
From least to most aggressive are: A12 Cleaner Wax, M20 Polymer Sealant, ColorX, M06 Cleaner Wax, M66 Quick Detailer and D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream. You can still put a coat of a finishing wax on top of a cleaner wax for better protection but it's not necessary.

IMHO - for swirl free / haze free dark colors (like Black Metallic) - I find good quality Carnauba like M26 and Gold Class gives a better deep wet look.
Key thing is to have swirl free / haze free paint work otherwise Synthetic or Carnauba wax look the same.Andy W.

26 is your best bet for topping 21 because it does not have a cleaner. As has been said, what you do before 21 is more important than what you do after. If the paint doesn't have a lot of defects - you can brush your teeth off the reflection from 205, 21, 26. I'll brag on 26 - http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...ighlight=lexus"The Dude Abides"

Re: Using a wax over Meguiar's Synthetic Sealant 2.0 (#21)
Reviving an old thread! I usually like to apply a good polymer sealant like Duragloss 105 and then top up with a good wax like Dodo juice for the depth and warmth. After using many sealants and waxes, I have found that this works best for me as I like the durability of a sealant and the look of a wax.
Now that I am gradually migrating to Meguiar's and discovering the range here, is there a single hybrid product that can probably do both the above steps in one? M 16 or Gold Class maybe?
