  • New detailer for black cars

I recently saw a new detailer for BLACK cars that contains a black pigment in it with synthetic carrier oils.
It claims to fill swirls and scratches.
It also contains carnauba and polymers in it.

Sounds to me almost like a color match wax which would turn your buffing rags black ,blue or whatever color you were using,in a spray form.
    Has anyone tried this ?

It's a gimmick. Is it the one made by TurtleWax?

It's like Turtle Wax Black Box. Stay away from it. One car wash and all the fillers will be gone exposing swirls and scratches.

It's better to remove defects permanently instead of temporary fillings. Unless you work on your wife's or mother in law's car, of course. Just kidding.

      Just my opinion.

Yes, that was the one. I wasnt sure it was ok to name a competing company on this forum.
It looks like this is one of their new products for 2011.
