getting rid of Holograph swirls

whats the best way to get rid of the hologram or holograph swirls caused from polishing foam pads?? I have some scratches and a bunch of holograms in my black paint from when my buddy buffed/polished my car. I saw the swirl x and ultimate compound but wasnt sure what was the best procedure or if doing it by hand would really get rid of this holographing??

Pics would help us a lot.

You would likely need UC, but removing marks by hand that are caused by a machine is tough.

Thanks for the feedback man, thats kinda what I figured. I will try to get some pics up here soon, i dont have any offhand but will try to post some up. I figured that marks that were made by a machine would be touch to remove by hand. the videos make it seem so easy on here but I figured that wasnt the case

No offense to your buddy, but the holograms weren't really caused just by the pads but by the process used. It sounds like your buddy used a rotary buffer, which is fine, but to finish out totally hologram free takes some real finessing of the final polishing step and that can take a lot of skill to properly develop.

But you've got 'em now, and you want them gone. Odds are you'll need the power of Ultimate Compound as opposed to SwirlX to get rid of them, especially if you're working by hand.
