  • When To Use Cleaner Wax And Dc03 Wax

    Hi Guys,

As a big fan of Meguiars. And purchasing many of there products. Smooth surface clay kit just name one of many .

I have around 6 of the small bottles of cleaner wax un opened how do you guys rate it? And when do you tend to use it? Would it be a great product for a mini detail? And can it be used with a d/a?

And the same with Dc03 wax I have around 4-5 bottles unopened. As my wax of choice is Nxt 2.0 Tech wax 2.0.. Sometimes I have used Dc03 topped with nxt 2.0.

But I find Nxt 2.0 gives better results

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the Cleaner/Wax can be good in the door jambs, and that kind of thing.

Also, using a cleaner/wax followed by a regular wax is a popular combo for a quick detail.

The Cleaner Wax is just that... a very good one step, cleaner/polish wax. Use it alone or top it with a good carnauba wax (like Deep Crystal).

Deep Crystal Wax is just that...a wax that has no cleaners or polish. Use it after you have used a cleaner and polish or a cleaner/wax.

Although I don't top NXT 2.0 with anything other than the Ultimate Quick Wax, you can use Deep Crystal over NXT for maybe a bit more "pop".

I have been using the Nxt 2.0. Probably will be trying the Ultimate Wax soon.

Used #21 before that. Havent used DC3 for many years.

Yellow polishing pad at speed 4 should be good.

                  Thanks Shawn.

I have just checked my Meguiars stock and remembered that I have given these away as a free gift when detailing customers cars.

I only have 1and a half of the free bottles you get with the smooth surface clay kit. How much would I need to detail my car a VW Passat?

This is simply a bit of a mini detail not swirl removal. So I would imagine this would be enough. Am I right?

Wouldnt get far with the Cleaner/Wax for swirl removal anyway...

But yeah, 1.5 should be enough.
