  • ScratchX Vs. UC

    hi guyz...wanna ask something..

I was wondering which product works best when dealing with RIDS..I've got some RIDS on my car and i've been using UC on it several time, but it won't go away..just faded a little bit and it kept showing up again..can ScratchX solve my problem??thx..

UC is stronger, so that is the one to use.

Any chance of a pic of the RID? It may just be too deep to remove.

as you can see, it says that scratchx works best if used on isolated scratches, as opposed to UC..

That's an interesting chart. Where did you find it?

The videos and discussions I've seen about ScratchX have shown it being used for smaller isolated scratches like those from fingernails around door handles.

Are you working by hand or machine?

ScratchX is sold in a size/packaging that is good for people just wanting to work on something small.

But you could ScratchX a whole car, or UC a small area.

When we say ScratchX is it ScratchX 2.0? From the charts they vary in aggressiveness.

Well, the idea of the packaging would be the same for either version.

But yeah, ScratchX is milder than SwirlX, while ScratchX 2.0 is in the middle of UC and SwirlX like the chart.

This chart and discussion has been helpful for me.

                  Re: ScratchX Vs. UC

                  oowh..sorry..i meant scratchX 2.0..

i found that chart on facebook..in meguiars centre indonesia's facebook..

so, should i use scratchx 2.0 for isolated scratches or should i use UC??coz UC can't remove all the defects..just make it almost unseen..but it's still there..
should i try Scratch X 2.0 or just use UC with machine??

I'm currently apply it by hand..but i've ordered G110V2 and it'll arrive soon..

                    Wait for the machine...

But if it is too deep, you may not be able to get rid of it completly.

                      Re: ScratchX Vs. UC

UC is more agressive than ScratchX, so if UC can't remove your defects, then ScratchX will have no chance.

I wonder if your scratches are too deep to remove? How are you applying the UC?
