Hi everyone, new here and still learning about detailing. I just bought a new 2011 Black Mustang GT 5.0 and after reading these forums I've started looking at ordering stuff to detail it with when I get it. I've pretty much got all the products picked out but I'm having a hard time selecting a polish. Like I said the car is black and new so the paint is still in excellent condition. I'll be claying it beforehand and then sealing and waxing it afterwards. I'm just wondering whether Ultimate Polish or #205 would be better for my particular situation? Thanks.

Re: Ultimate Polish or #205?
They both serve the same purpose although UP has more polishing oils in it. It will eliminate the optional step of just a pure polish for additional gloss. With 205 you would use a pure polish for that added gloss. I would recommend UP for you.Practice doesn't make perfect, the dedication to achieve perfection makes perfect. "Smack"

Re: Ultimate Polish or #205?
Ok thanks, my product list now looks like this:
Gold Class Shampoo
Smooth Surface Clay Kit
Ultimate Polish
Mirror Glaze #21
P21S Concours Carnauba Wax
If anyone has any suggestions or changes feel free to let me know, like I said I'm new to complete detailing and this process is just based off what I have read and seen on this and other forums.

Re: Ultimate Polish or #205?
I'll be the lone wolf and say #205. Although it's going to come down to personal preference. I have used both and 205 gives a look on black I can't describe other than maybe as distinguished. UPolish, on the other hand, gives a look more akin to a reflective shine that is more common. It really depends on taste, but 205 is still my head turner for black."The Dude Abides"
