  • Well cured Overspray

Purchased a Black Silverado this winter, And i guess because of the salt on it I did not see that it was oversprayed . It has finally warmed up a bit and i started to give it a good cleaning and noticed the Overspray all over the drivers side door. I had bought the paint restoration kit, and after reviewing a few post decided to try clay bar it. I spent 10 minutes on a small area and could not see any change. I decided to try a bit of the ultimate compound and although the trucks paint shined up nice there has been no change to the overspray.
What should i do next ?

    Thanks,

Give the red aggressive detailers clay a try, it has more bite than the smooth surface clay kit. That clay can leave some slight marring on the surface so if the truck is a dark color follow up with a couple passes of UC to clean up the finish again.

It does sound as though stepping up to a more aggressive clay is the way to go. Our C2100 Red Aggressive Clay can be aggressive enough to haze the paint a bit so you'll likely have to follow up with Ultimate Compound, most likely via DA buffer. Our C2000 Blue Mild Clay falls squarely between the consumer clay and the C2100 Red - it's usually sufficient to remove over spray without hazing the paint.

I do have access to a dual action sander so I guess the agressive would be the way to go. A little scared to go with the agressive though. still new to this whole polishing thing.
Do you feel the mild would take it off also? with more work?
The Consumer grade didn't even touch it.
