when applying these two products does the car need to be dust free? seems if it were not than scratching would occur. Since these are used for touch ups though there is usually dust present.
You can use them if you have light dust on the vehicle......... there are designed to do that. Just don't push a regular QD to far........ there's a difference between "dust" and "dirt". I wouldn't use a standard QD on dirty vehicle!
