  • Rubbing out new lacquer

What is the best products for rubbing out anew lacquer paint job? It is Ontario Orange firemist with a clear acrylic lacquer on top. It has been sanded wit 1200 and 1500 3M wet paper.

I would suggest going finer with the sandpaper first - especially if you are going to rub it out by hand. Can jumping in increments of 500 is the safest bet (2,000->2,500->3,000) and then M105 by hand would be the best bet.

I was going to use a Schlegel #2 on my variable speed polisher then follow up with the orbital polisher and foam pads. Would I then use your Ultimate Rubbing Compound and Swirl Remover before Machine Glaze and liquid Yellow Wax?
