Liquid because it's easier to apply... However, I'm starting to try the paste waxes with the introduction of the 4" softbuff pads. It makes paste wax application a breeze with the D/A.
If you doing your own and car is dark color Paste looks much richer. If you are detailing someones car and want to get a job done faster use liquid. I used both on my black car and Paste wins.
Just my 2 cents
for ease of use, liquid for me. My experience with NXT 2.0 paste is that its not as effortless to apply and is more difficult to apply thinly. THe applicator has to be absolutle clean to make it a bit easier and you have to take a bit more time. With the liquid, it just goes on and off easier. However, with the paste, i've never experienced any smearing or streaking which the does happen occassionally with the liquid. Hopefully when the Ultimate paste wax comes, i'll give it a shot and see if it is easier to apply vs. NXT

Paste is the same as liquid... other then one is liquid and the other is paste. That is, they won't look different on different paint.
