Hey guys,

I am going to do the 3 step (paint cleaner DC1, polish DC2, wax with tech 2.0)

Do I need a separate applicator and towel for each step?

(so as to not mix the polish into the polish with the wax...)

if so,
that's a lot of towels!

Well, it is 3 towels, 3 applicators, + any spares.... Not that many.

I use separate applicators for each product so I don't have to take time in the middle of a car to clean them.

Depending on the size of the car, you probably need more than 1 MF per step. I usually use 3+ towels per step on my Colorado and Escape.

You're right, it ends up being a lot of towels. Also good to have a couple extra of each around in case one is dropped on the ground.That's why whenever I order from ADS or Autogeek, I throw in a MF or two.

I've gotten to the point that I horde MF's. You can never have too many IMO.
