  • ScratchX 2.0 leaving hazing and fine swirls...how do I correct?

I had a couple of scratches on the door of my black 2011 Jeep Wrangler. I used ScratchX 2.0 which did a fairly good job of removing the scratches. I washed my Jeep and used Quick Detailer just to get it extra clean and applied the ScratchX with a Meguiars yellow foam pad. However, under direct sun and halogen lights there is a noticeable haze filled with very fine and compacted swirls around the area I used the ScratchX.

I don't like the fact that I replaced the scratches with swirls. How do I go about removing the haze filled with swirls? It's driving me nuts!

    The products I have are:

    Ultimate Compound
    Ultimate Polish
    SwirlX
    ColorX
    NXT Wax
    ScratchX (obviously)

    Thanks guys!!

Try your SwirlX first. It is less aggressive than ScratchX and shold take care of the marring left behind my ScratchX.

If your paint is really delicate and the SwirlX is also marring it, your ColorX or UP should take care of that (these are both less aggressive than SwirlX).

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I would use Ultimate Polish with less aggressive pad.
