i bought the Rotary Buffer which i never used before. what do i need to know?? also i can use this to apply and take off #80 and nxt wax?? or is this just for applying??

okay i got my answer on applying and taking off . now what about the dangers of new to the rotary. it's a 6spd so were should i leave my setting??Comment

I highly suggest rounding up a test panel before going at your paint, a rotary polisher has the potential of buring paint and instilling holograms if not controlled properly. I don't know the factory settings on your machine, but most polishes should be applied between 1200-1500 rpm. I would go about 1200 for #80. Remember to let the machine do the work. Don't try to move it around with just your forearms, but use your upper body to make slow and steady passes over the surface.Comment

Someone in-experienced might want to tape off the body lines.
You wouldnt want to run a rotary over such things.
I have read from several people to cut in the edges first.
A rotary is on my list of things to try out for sure.
I was watching American Hotrod the other nite, when they were making the Racing,show, daily driver corvette with 1000 hp and AC and cup holders lol, but they showed them use the rotary in a few different ways, pretty cool.Comment
