  • Removing overspray from spray painting

How is the best way to remove the overspray that occurs when painting with a spray can? I had good protection close by, but some of the paint drifted to unprotected surfaces. I was able to remove the paint from glass with a razor blade, but I don't want to try that on clear overcoat. Is there a good cleaner for this, or should I use a solvent such as denatured alcohol? Thanks!

Try clay first. It is surprising how well clay works.

Go get a Meguiars smooth surface clay kit, that should do it. If that doesn't work maybe try a more aggressive clay such as the red clay from Clay Magic. If that doesn't get it all I'd try mineral spirits.
