Weird, the entire post didn't get copied correctly...here it is:

My old PC 7424 from 2006 died on me recently so I went ahead and “upgraded” to a Flex 3401. I have 32 oz of D300 and D301 along with the 6” pads. I also have 32 oz of M105 and almost no M205. From what I’ve read on MOL it seems that using the D300 and pad with the FLEX 3401 is not recommended. If I go ahead and use M105 with a yellow polishing pad can I follow it up with the D301 with a MF finishing pad? I don’t feel like purchasing any additional products until I use up what I have so I was hoping the M105/D301 combination would work? Any thoughts? I was planning to polish/wax my 2006 black 528. Any thoughts of this combination on black bmw paint?
    Thanks for your comments.

      Ben,

Welcome to Meguiar's Online. Meguiar's D/A Microfiber Correction System can be used with forced rotation machines like the 3401. One of our MOL members has a written a great review on his experience using this system with a forced rotation machine. This can be located at the following below link:

If you wanted to go with your original suggestion, you could too.

Whether or not it works to your liking on your particular paint is just a matter of doing a test spot first.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

          Ben,

Is it Jet Black or Black Sapphire Metallic ? Jet Black is waaaaaay softer.

As Nick mentioned above (thanks for the compliments, Nick), DA Microfiber Correction System works with forced rotation and was tested by Meguiar's that way as well. Some people like this combo, some don't due to "grabby" feeling produced by Flex 3401 with microfiber discs. If you keep speed down (setting 3 for D300 and 2-2.5 for D301) and apply much less down pressure you shouldn't experience anything out of control. On softer paints D300 Correction Compound may leave some haze but nothing what can't be removed by follow up with D301 Finishing Wax.

The good news is - Flex 3401 produces much faster defect removal paired with DA Microfiber Correction System than traditional D/A polishers. You're going to see rotary like cut rate.

D300 and D301 also work with foam buffing pads so you could go that way as well.
