I discovered that my silver F-150 has paint all over it and I'm not sure how to safely remove it. The paint is everywhere, including the windows and black trim. It's not big patches or spots of paint. It's the kind you get when the wind carries paint from a building being spray painted by pseudo-professionals and now my truck has a gritty texture. While I should probably try to make the painting company pay for it, I'm very picky about people touching my truck and what products are used on it so it's better if I do the work myself. What Meguiar's products are best to use and in what order should I use them in? I'm getting all geared up to spend hours on my truck this weekend and will be visiting my trusty auto parts store later on in the week to stock up on more Meguiar's product. Thanks!

Re: Removing paint from my truck
Since this appears to be paint overspray, claying should do the trick fairly quickly and with complete safety. We would most definitely recommend you go with our C2000 Professional Mild clay rather than the much milder consumer clay, and probably two or three bottles of Quik Detailer as a lubricant, too. The process is very straightforward and even with the level of contamination your truck currently has, the paint droplets themselves should be quite small and relatively easy to remove. If you have waxed the truck within the past few months that will help your cause, too.Michael Stoops

Re: Removing paint from my truck
Claying should take care of that, the pro-grade. You can always move up to the more aggressive clay if the mildest clay doesn't remove the overspray. I had one of my car's panel repainted due to a minor collision of my own stupidity. There was paint overspray, i had a clay bar kit from mothers, and it removed the overspray sufficiently, but not that easy. Imagine how much easier it would be with a pro-grade mild clay bar. Then paint cleaner, then wax. You should be good to go.
