Anybody have any tips or secrets when using this stuff or is it pretty much straight forward? I'll be applying it with a DA polisher.

Re: Fisrt time with 105/205
With M105 on a DA, less is definitely more. If you over use the product it can and will produce quite a bit of dust, especially on a DA. If you get the face of the pad primed and then use just a few drops of product, you'll be better off in the long run. Otherwise, the usual tips apply - use a polishing pad at speed 5 on the tool, small work area, moderate to heavy pressure depending on how the paint responds and how bad the defects are, slow arm speed, don't let the product dry. Clean pad regularly as you go.
M205 is far more forgiving - speed 3 to 4 on a finishing pad, less pressure than with M105, but stay with a small(ish) work area (you might go a bit larger than you did with M105) and keep the arm speed slow.

Re: Fisrt time with 105/205
The Accords have very soft paint. I've had great success with using M205 with the W8207 polishing pad. I didn't have to use M105. If M205 isn't aggressive enough and you need to step it up, then I would suggest you use Ultimate Compound and not M105. I think M105 is way too aggressive for your paint system.2011 Car Crazy Showcase SEMA Team

I have heard nothing about cleaning the pads until now. How do you frequently clean the pads when in the middle of buffing?
