Re: best way to apply a polish?
Finishing pad, apply/massage/work into the paint, remove while wet. Have a couple of Microfiber buffing towels to ensure a streak free finish. #7 is a bit oily and heavy, and it can load up the Microfiber towel after a couple of panels. With a d/a,you can apply the polish really thin which is needed for products like this one.

I find applying polish to an area no larger than 3 x 3 ft makes it much easier to wipe off. When I apply to a too large an area, I find the polish dries out and it becomes much more difficult to wipe off.Andy W.

If you're talking about M07, it doesn't really dry to a haze. It skins, but the skin easily breaks when you try to remove it. Leaving it for too long will make it harder to remove, it can streak or leave an uneven patchy panel.
