My car has vinyl decals on it and I want them to stay looking new they are matte black. I just got some meguiars rubber/vinyl conditioner #40 and used it on my deck lid yesterday and was pretty happy with it is this the right product to be using? I also have water spots on the decal on my hood whats the best way to get them off I got some Ducky water spot remover will that be ok on the decals?

Re: Caring for vinyl decals
Thanks Scott that was a good video. I put the rubber/vinyl conditioner #40 on them yesterday I hope that wasnt a mistake, but they came out looking pretty good. Next time im at the store I will grab them three products.

Re: Caring for vinyl decals
The only real down side to using M40 on these decals is that, since it's a water based dressing, it will have a tendency to run when it gets wet. So if you drive in the rain, or when you wash the car, it's going to come off and potentially streak down the side of the car. It won't hurt anything, but it might not look real pretty until you can clean it up.
Give Ultimate Quik Wax a shot - it won't turn the matte finish suddenly glossy, it won't run off when it gets wet, and it will offer great UV protection. Mist on, wipe off - couldn't be easier.Michael Stoops

Re: Caring for vinyl decals
I used to apply #40 to my interior trim. Water would form spots on the door trim and I would have to apply again.
No issue now that I use Ultimate Protectant.
One complaint against UP is it's too shinny on the front dash.
