Not a huge fan of either...

Where are you living at? Maybe we can look at other kits, depending on where you live.

        Hey thepanchmx,

Tell ur friend to get you the products you want off-shelf. That combo is way to expensive.
Just get the polisher. You already have 7" pads.

What are you aiming for ? what do you want to do? Do u want to work on your car? Are u a professional? Then the products you need comes from answering those questions

Anything u need just let me know.

The kits linked to by the OP are obviously not put together by us (there are competitors products in the mix) and quite frankly, we don't understand the kit with the cutting pads and finishing pads at all. We do not recommend using those pads with the DA because of how aggressive they are. If you want to stick with Amazon as a source, we'd suggest you just get the G110v2, a pair of W8207 yellow polishing pads, a pair of W9207 black finishing pads, some Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Polish and Ultimate Wax plus a bunch of microfiber towels. You'll spend the same amount as one of those kits but you'll have the full range of products that we use in our Saturday Classes, and it's extremely rare that we can't get the job done with that.

whats the difference between the pads i own (7k,8k,9k) and the one for the DA other than the easy centering stuff.
                    Thank you

The newer ones are machine washable.

Your you will want to wash more carefully by hand, not getting the velcro soaked.

Do you have the W7000/8000/9000 or W7006/8006/9006? If the former then you've got the 8" pads that really should be used on a rotary as they're really too large for DA use. If you've got the latter then you have our first gen 6" pads which are fine on the DA but they are not machine washable. They should also be used with our W67DA backing plate as the W68DA plate that comes with the G110v2 is too large for them.

This is a really good point. U can do pretty much everything with M205,M105,some polish and Wax. This can get any car to look brand new. Also by experience having a WHOLE bunch of MF towels is never enough. Always get MF towels.

                          Good one michael.

The Pads you own are Version 1.0 of the buffing pads. They were W7000,W8000,W9000. They work just the same as the new Soft Buff 2.0, the 2.0 are more easy to be centered. The W7000 cutting pad is no longer used because is too aggresive. The 8k with 105 works great!.

                          Best regards.
