  • How to clean these?

Hi guys, I have been using MF towels to remove wax and inevitably all the tiny fibres trapped the wax residue. How can I best clean the towels?

The wax applicator pads are also a bit dirty with some dried wax clogging up the pores. Should I wash them or change to new pads? Tips for cleaning them?

    Thanks.

I always wash my foam pads and MF towels right after I use them with dawn soap and then let them sit in a bucket of water for a while, that way there will not be dried wax on my pads and towels. Then once in a while I will put them in the wash machine and put the normal detergent in with some white vinegar and then let them air dry.

I think you can try dawn or some other dishwashing soap on the pads first and then put them in the washer and see if it comes out clean. In the future I could recommend cleaning the pads right after you use them.

All of the above is very good advice - towels and pads should be fully washed and dried following every use. Here at Meguiar's Garage (and me, personally at home) towels and pads get tossed into a laundry basket until enough are accumulated to do a full wash load (that happens very quickly here at work, a bit more slowly for me personally at home!)
