there are so many microscratches on my rear spoiler lip that it looks white under the sun.
the color is charcoal.
I polished in a perpendicular direction to the scratches, and it seemed to help a little, making it look a little shinier, but it seems i'm introducing more scratches.
This is even with Plastx.
the spoiler is made out of plastic or something, and painted from the factory. But it seems like the polishing technique i use for the rest of the car does not work on the spoiler. Someone on a prius forum said toyota makes these spoilers unpaintable. Perhaps my spoiler doesn't have paint on it, even though it matches the color of my car.
I tried to polish lightly, but that doesn't help either. I'm stuck.
Has anyone dealt with this? I was wondering if it has to do with the material...
