Nxt 2.0 wax -how long does it last?

Couple wax questions. I applied it by my meguiars buffer till it wouldn't turn back. Then by hand.

1) how long does it last till time for another wax coat? I generally wax every six months.

2) do touch less car washes strip the wax off? If so all at once or over time? I usually my cars once a month and use the touch less care wash three times a month.

Durability depends on quite a lot of factors. I would say on a daily driver that is garaged at night, maybe 8 weeks. Try Ultimate Liquid, or paste wax, they should get you a full 3 months of protection. You can extend the life of either by using Ultimate Quik Wax and Ultimate Quik Detailer.

Touchless washes usually rely on harsh chemicals. They will usually shorten the life of waxes and sealants.

In my experience NXT does not last all that long, but we have fairly harsh weather here. I get 3-4 weeks out of NXT.

Ouch. NXT seams to have a short life span. Guess I should move to the other mentioned brands.

NXT has a high lifespan, with UW being a bit higher. It is by no means poor in terms of longevity, a few years ago, many were raving about how great it was. An older wax is not a bad wax.

Ultimate Liquid Wax is great stuff. Of all that's available, I strongly suggest ULW.

NXT is a pretty long lasting wax all things considered. It definitely outlasts many of the other competitors waxes. About the only brand of waxes that I'd put consistently above Meguiar's for longevity is Collinite, but they are honestly completely different animals.

Don't let me scare you away from NXT, it is a good wax and reasonably priced. Ultimate Wax definitely lasts longer. As for looks, UW has more of a diffused glow, whereas NXT will give you more of the candy shell type look.

Well I am not sure about Tech Wax 2.0 liquid but trust me the Tech wax 2.0 has come for 4 full month of life on one of my customers car. All depends upon the way we maintain our ride.

Any wax or sealant will have a tough time lasting a specified "6 months".. There are just so many factors, from weather/climate to simply how one person washes or maintains the finish.. Ok, let's say Collinte or klasse sealant glaze. 2 tough guys in the detailing scene. If i want to, i can easily make it last less than 1 month, and these products are said to last for months up to a year with a good application of it.

I personally think there's an advantage of having a wax that doesn't last super long. It encourages the owner to really have more time with the car to see if there are any problem areas in their car's finish (like tar or other undesirable stuff). With regular maintenance, 1 month is easy with the NXT 2.0 (well at least in my experience)

Anywhere from 3 weeks to, maybe, 6 months. It depends on so many factors - heavy rain, lots of road salt or heavy detergents (like those used in touchless car washes) will kill any wax or sealant pretty quickly. But the same wax applied to car that isn't exposed to these things, and it well taken care of and garaged, could potentially last 6 months.

Yes, they will. This is because they use very powerful detergents to "touchlessly" remove the dirt and other contaminants from the paint. It's also why the detergent wash is followed with a neutralizing rinse. Will a single wash in one of these systems fully remove a freshly applied synthetic like NXT? Probably not all of it on the first wash, but it will seriously compromise any wax or sealant, and a few washings will likely kill it completely.

I've had NXT 2.0 last me an entire year on a 2008 Toyota Camry with the five step process: Gold Class Wash>Consumer Clay kit>Deep Crystal paint Cleaner,>M7>two coats of NXT2.0. My vehicle was not garaged during that year and is a commuter car. I will say; however, that I have since moved over to a different area in the state, and NXT 2.0 has since lasted around 6 or so months for me as of late.

I use Meguiars ultimate quick wax - this stuff is incredible, I own a black car - I never really noticed how long it lasted ,I didn't give it any thought however if I had to guess I would say about 2 - 3 weeks at best, and that's only when I'm not keeping track of the duration this amazing spray wax !

I love the shine it gives me, the fact that much of the dust that later settles on it just blows off, and I can do the whole car in an hour or so. Really easy to apply and wipe.
