Re: Gold Class Carnuba Plus...cleaner inside?
Sure you can.
It is not a cleaner wax, though I'm not sure if it would have some slight cleaning properties. If it does, they would be very minimal..Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Thanks..just didnt want to be taking the first coat off by applying the second. Hopefully, there are minimal cleaning properties as youve said. I really like this stuff. Makes my smooth finish super slick.
I tried looking for Deep Crystal Carnuba but cant seem to track it down. I have a 20 year old bottle of it but am leary of using it.

Re: Gold Class Carnuba Plus...cleaner inside?
While it's perfectly fine to apply a second coat of Gold Class Carnauba Plus, don't expect that to mean you'll actually get double the coating thickness from it. We always recommend applying two thin coats, but that's just for uniform coverage and appearance. A properly thin coat of wax can be so thin, especially on light colored vehicles, that it can be easy to miss a spot. But we have never bought into the whole concept of layering waxes in the sense of being able to build an ever increasing film thickness.
Now, Gold Class is a carnuaba wax and in order for carnauba to be useable in a car wax product there must be some sort of solvent used in the product, albeit an extremely mild such product. But that means these very light solvents will, at least to some degree, break down the previous application of wax. That doesn't mean it's going to "take it all off" and make the previous effort a waste of time, just that it's not going to let you build up layers. In theory, that layering concept may work with synthetic sealants due to the vastly different chemical nature of synthetic polymers, but in practice it still doesn't happen. Perhaps we should say "we've never seen anyone prove that it happens" but we have seen plenty of evidence showing that, in fact, it does not.Michael Stoops

I am guilty of putting more than 2 coats of wax/sealant myself. really hard to control myself. I have to force myself not to put too much, difference in looks and durability is minimal at best.
