  • Different procedure in polishing & waxing

I have a Meguiars DA buffer.

Is there any differences using the buffer to wax vs polish.

    Amount on pad.

    Speed setting.

With polishing, you'll tend to want a higher speed, you'll use more product, more pressure, more passes over an area.

With waxing, you'll go to a lower speed, less product (at first may be closer to the same, then less as the pad gets saturated), less pressure, just a pass or two over the area. More like wiping with the machine.

You will also use a slower arm speed with polishing, can usually go a fair bit faster with the waxing.
