  • Whats the most durable wax and best car cover?

Well I'm getting ready to go away to school again and for financial reasons I'm taking the insurance off of the mustang.

It will be parked outside so I want to get a good car cover for it and start building up a good wax layer on it, so what do you all reccomend as far as this / storage? It will be this way for at least 6 months straight.

    Thanks!

The Stang doesn't even get to go out to play this summer? That's gotta be rough along with summer school!

Since it will be idle for so long, a cover makes good sense. I don't know anything about car covers though as I've never used one. I would recommend NXT Paste Wax. Second choice would be MPPP Medallion Premium Paint Protection.

          so yeah it does ****...

I've been looking at car covers and I've narrowed it down to a NOAH or a Weathershield from www.carcoverworld.com

          What do you all think?

              I 'third that recommendation.

              Car cover-
Long Term Outdoor: WeathersheildTM HD- primarily for intense sun environments and long-term storage provides optimum protection from water, dust, tree sap, while providing long-term UVR protection and maximum weatherproof protection from a multi-layer breathable (heavyweight) fabric.

I realize that money may well be an issue but you might want to consider a two-cover set up as any dirt/grit that gets under the cover could do some damage over a prolonged period
              Two-cover system:
During high winds or prolonged storage the use of this system will avoid paint surface marring from the cover being buffered by high force winds (Hurricanes)

              1. Dustop TM- 4 layer cover with maximum dust protection and its soft inner layer protects paint
2 WeathersheildTM HD- primarily for intense sun environments and long-term storage provides optimum protection from water, dust, tree sap, while providing long-term UVR protection and maximum weatherproof protection from a multi-layer breathable (heavyweight) fabric.
