Working on a Ford F350 XL so it has a rubber floor mat instead of carpet. I have scrubbed the heck out of it but no matter what i do it just doesnt look good. Its not worn through or anything it just looks dull and well dirty still but its not. What do you guys do? Thanks

I have scrubbed them with soap and water, as well as simple green and yet again with apc+. They just look dull and "grey" for lack of a better term. There's Room For All Of God's Creatures!!! Right Next To The Mashed Potatoes!!!

I've found Simple Green tends to "grey out" a lot of plastic and rubber stuff. Just did my black rubber floor mats (removable, not a liner like you have) in my F250SD today with regular old APC and they came out great! I think the key was copious rinsing as well, not just spray on/wipe off.2011 F150 5.0L 4x4

Re: Rubber floor mat instead of carpet, how to make look new?
I use a dedicated tire cleaner on my rubber mats. Seems to work good.
I have on occasion used Brake Cleaner (walmart brand) to clean rubber items, rubber mallet etc and it worked good. I spray on a soft cloth and wipe. I used it on my Craftsman brake tools and it ruined the handles, so be careful. I did revive the handles though. I sprayed on a red rag and wiped in a single motion. The brake cleaner melts the plastic used for the handles.Philippians 2:14 - Do all things without grumbling or questioning,

If they are gray and that isn't what you want, and that is obvious. There is no miracle product that is going to bring them back. you can put dressing on them but I don't recommend it. Don't want slippery feet at the pedals. I agree with Murr. You can only do so much to them. The color will fade especially if you keep scrubbing them. Buy new ones.Keeping MOL family friendly!
