If so, you would want to use the regular paint care products.
If it is bare, then any metal polish would work, like the Hot Rims M&A. However, the products like UC/#105 can also work well on bare metal.
If you are not sure, then you want to use a paint care product, and work it into the surface. Bare metal will turn your applicator soot black. Clear coated metal would just turn a little dirty gray.
Those don't look all that bad. We suggest our new Medium Cut Metal Polish applied with either a cotton terry cloth applicator or a microfiber towel, and then follow with our Finish Cut Metal Polish using a microfiber towel or microfiber applicator pad. New Metal Polishes

For what it's worth. I'll certainly give these products a try next time I work over my Harley's aluminum wheels. Been using Meguiar's products for over forty years. Always been very satisfied with the results.
Michael Stoops: I have the same Harley wheels that require a little less cleaning. What product would you recommend to clean the wheels before applying the medium metal cut polish? What product would you recommended to clean the wheels during routine vehicle cleaning, between the two step wax process you described here?
