Meguiar's - This is just stupid!!!!!!!!

    Meguiar's - This is just stupid!!!!!!!!

    I've been using your products for years and I've done nothing but praise your products. But this time, you get no praise from me. Below are my cleared plastic door pillars. Very dull and scratches. You will see the before and after pictures. Read the rest at the end of the pictures.

    Before passengers side with scuffs and scratches. Don't know how I even got them in there.





    After passengers side using a product I've never tried before now. Scuffs/Scratches are gone and the thing is no longer dull.





    Before drivers side pillars scuffed/scratched/dull



    After drivers side no scratches, no scuffs, no longer dull.




    1st picture lower half of pillar done. Look at the difference in clarity and color from the house and grass. WTF Meguiars?



    2nd picture upper half not done.

    I've used the blue and white bottles of the clear plastic cleaner and polish for years and now you come out with this stuff? This PlastX stuff? Why now did I decide to use this? So as I said you no longer get praise from me, you get SUPER PRAISE FROM ME!! LOL This stuff is AWESOME. Those scuffs have been on there for a year or two and I've just never messed with them, so I go out and buy the PlastX and BAM beautiful!!!

    Thanks Meg's for another outstanding product!!

      Plast X is great stuff. I also use it for scratches on CDs games and DVD's and it works great.

          Turned out very nice. The pad is awfully black, dirty or single stage paint?

            Its and 05 Pontiac Grand Prix. It's base/clear on the pillars I think.

            If you look at my picture here, the two black parts between the doors are what I did.

              Those parts are a plastic/vinyl wrap on many cars. Not sure about yours though...

                Not quite sure how we missed this the first time around, but we did.

                Gotta say, we weren't quite sure where this was headed either!! These glossy pillars are often neglected by car owners but they're actually quite easy to maintain. A light once over with any decent paint cleaner usually takes care of things, and doing so routinely will keep them looking new for years. While some cars have a matte finish to these pillars (in which case something like Ultimate Black is the product of choice) these glossy pillars tend to be either painted and cleared, just painted, or actually just black plastic. On my personal car I'll wax them every time I wax the rest of the car and go over them lightly with anything from Cleaner Wax to M205 to Ultimate Compound from time to time, even with a buffer.

                Stang2000, it should be noted that the products you've used on this are really designed for clear plastics, like headlights, tail lights, plastic windows, etc. That's not to say you should never use it on colored plastics - your results here speak for themselves - but it wasn't really developed for this particular surface. But hey, if it works, it works, so don't hesitate to use PlastX here again in the future should the need arise.

                  lol sorry. Had to be funny. that's me. I love your products. I was very happy that is did such a great job on it.

                  I used to use the Blue(# 10 I think) and White(#18 I think) bottle on Chevy S10 Plastic Mirrors. They used to always get so dull and the cleaner and polish would do just that, clean and poilish out to a nice glossy shine. I did them all the time since I used to show my mini trucks. People at shows always asked me how I got my mirrors so clean and new looking. so I would break out my bottles and ask them if I could do it on their mirrors at the shows and they would let me and then be amazed at how great they look. So I was basically a salesmen and demo man of that particular product. lol
