• Look over my future purchase

Okay it's time to finally purchase a polisher. Along with it I'm beefing up my inventory. Please look it over and advise me on any mistakes i am making:

Meguiar's G110V2 Six Pack Special:
Meguiar's G110V2 Polisher with 1-year factory warranty
- One Meguiar's W68DA Velcro backing plate
- Six Meguiar's 7"
Soft buff 2.0 pads (2 finishing, 4 polishing)

-
-Meguiar's Backing Plate for Orbital/DA Polishers, S3BP - 3 inch

-Meguiar's Soft Buff Black Foam Finishing Pad, W9204 - 4 inch (2)
-Meguiar's Soft Buff Yellow Foam Polishing Pad, W8204 - 4 inch (2)

-Meguiar's Ultimate Compound - 16 oz. (1)
-Meguiar's Professional Detailing Clay - Blue, Mild (1)
-Meguiar's Ultimate Polish - 16 oz.
-Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer - 22 oz. (1) (for use as clay lube)
-Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 Liquid Wax - 18 oz. (1)
Meguiar's Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel, X2020 (3 pack) (4) (to replace my old auto zone collection)

Okay so that list may get a little messy.... copy/paste kinda went wacko there. I am also looking for advice on how to blow the car off for < $100 if possible. I havent done that much research but all i see are the expensive blowers. Im tired of drying my car off

Re: Look over my future purchase

Don't worry about the boxes - your copy and paste took the HTML code with it and the forum handles that a bit differently. The only really glaring thing we see is your choice of Ultimate Quik Detailer as a clay lube. We don't recommend that for clay lube due to the polymers in it being so slick they'll actually compromise the claying process. You're better off using either Quik Detailer or even Last Touch diluted 1:1 with water. You can get QD in 32 oz bottles (A3332 is the part number) if you prefer that to 16 oz size. Last Touch (D15501) only comes in gallons so you'll have to decide if that's more than you want. But used straight Last Touch is a great maintenance mist & wipe.

I think you can get a Toro Corded blower for under $100...

And no UQD for clay lube. Just QD or LT/FI.

Why the 7" pads? I'd stick with 6 or even 5 on a orbital.

I couldnt find the deal with the smaller pads, but someone said it was available. Any chance you know of where to get the same deal with difference sized pads?

Okay thanks! So the ultimate quick detailer = bad. regular QD in the red bottle = good

Im also looking for a good set of small brushes just in case I leave wax/polish in the cracks of peoples car. I fear this because I left a bunch in my Grandmas car one time and even she noticed

Have you considered the Microfiber combo instead?

A tiny bit more money on the surface, but once you take off the Ultimate Compound and polish and wax, it should be close to the same price but yield better performance.

Still cant find the same deal with those sizes so i think ill just buy the 7" ... maybe im missing it.

How do most of you clean out the tight spaces that MF towels just cant reach? Is there a brush kit or something else im not aware of that you use?

Thanks in advance!

Just found this:

Grab portable drying power for your auto or bike with the Metro Air Force Blaster Sidekick Car & Motorcycle Dryer. Weighing in at just over 3 lbs. yet packing the power to move 18,000 ft. of air per minute, it’ll cut your detailing time without throwing out your shoulder.

Looks pretty good for $80

I'd still highly recommend the MF kit!
