  • Carnuaba Liquid Wax Over M26

Does anyone have any experience with putting Megs Carnuaba Liquid Wax over M26 (aftering 12-24 hours of curing of course)? I have only used the paste wax over M26 and it creates a real nice shine, but Auto Zone didnt have any Megs Paste so I went with the Liquid.
    Thanks guys.

I often double coat my waxes. I wouldn't see any problem with using a liquid wax over another liquid wax. Remember that prep work determines the shine more than the wax, but I still hold by the principle that the wax still influences the final look of the paint however slightly.

Long in short, yeah, a liquid over a liquid is fine!

    Have fun,

Since M26 is a carnauba wax itself, what is it you're trying to accomplish by applying another carnauba on top of it? There's no problem with bonding or anything else, we're just a bit confused as to why you want to apply one carnauba on top of another.

I don't think you would gain anything by doing what you've proposed, but you wouldn't hurt anything either.

If topping M26 with another Megs Carnauba (Deep Crystal Carnauba?) is redundant. I would just apply 2 coats of M26. Both are very similar, and M26 doesn't require any cure time unlike NXT 2.0, M21 or Ultimate.

My bad guys i topped the M21 with carnuaba paste wax, not the 26, sorry to waste anyones time putting thoughts in that one. I topped the m21 synthetic sealant with gold class carnuaba paste wax and the shine was unreal (havent figured out how to post pics yet). i am trying to achieve the same effects on the jeep i am going tackle, with the necessary prep work beforehand, so its more a question of will the carnuaba liquid achieve the same effects as the paste?
            thanks all

Yes, there is no difference in looks between liquid & paste. It's just personal preference on what you like to use..

Yes, they both will look the same.

I use M26 to top M21 (NXT) and ULW.
