I'm not talking about something you can Google up, because I believe those numbers are inaccurate and possibly even skewed in favor of environmentalists. I just got a notice with my utility bill saying that the average driveway carwashing uses at least 116 gallons of water. I find that hard to believe if your nozzle has a shutoff valve, and you only dispense water when you need it.
Has anyone ever attached a water meter to their hose to see how much water they are actually using? I'm betting that the number of gallons used are less than 40, but I could be wrong.
