  • The brush or mop?

I have a pickup now and am not enjoying the wash mitt.

    Brush or mop?

Which one is the absolute safest today and 12 months from now.

Also, on the head of the brush or mop, is there a protective rubber ring like on the wheel brush?

I have not tried the brush yet (I will soon) but the mop has a longer reach than teh brush. The mop works great and holds a lot of soapy water. The mop material is very thick and goes up and over the corners of the mop holder so you won't scratch the paint if you bump a corner of it into your truck. I had no problems with marring and the mop slid right over the paint with no problem. It applied the NXT Car Wash solution over the paint very evenly and there were no missed spots. It is also bigger than the Viking mop I used to use. That is an important consideration when using a mop on a truck as you can cover a large area more quickly.

From what I have read about the Versa Angle Wide Body Brush I will probably like it a lot too so I will probably wind up using both. Others have done reviews on both products so you can get more info from browsing the 2005 Accessory Reviews section.

Every person has their personal preference but I've always preffered a sheepskin mitt or the mop to a brush. My experience with body brushes is that in order to be soft enough to not damage the finish and even softer so that you do not perceive that the finish is being damaged, they don't work as effectively at removing stuck on stuff like bugs, bird poo, tree/flowe sap etc. as a mitt. The mop works great at washing the hard to reach areas, just haven't figured out how to deal with drying these hard to reach areas. I ordered a Waterstick which removes minerals from the water so I don't have to worry about spots when air drying but haven't tried it out yet. Water is so hard in my area that Mr Clean Autodry is not doing it for me but certainly better than doing nothing.

Shrug. I took the brush head and attached it to the mop handle.

I like the brush and handle this time of year because the water is so cold, and it's like, 59* and sunny, but windy. I don't want my fingers to freeze. When it gets warmer I'll go back to the sheepskin mitts probably. But I do like the brushes, a lot. They're a nice product.

I've tried all the new Meguiar's washing tools... including the mop, the synthetic mitt, the Chenille mitt, and the Chenille pad. To be honest, of all of them, the only ones that "toot my horn" are the brushes. I was really quite amazed at how soft the bristles were. So, for me, I would choose the brush.

However, I do agree, that a high quality lambs wool/sheepskin mitt or a fine quality cotton mitt is still tough to beat on paint.

            Thanks for the feedback

I hate to say it, but i will probably get both lol.

Oh ya, can the wheel brush head be attatched to the handles of these other tools?

It would be cool if i didnt have to bend over to hit the rims.

My wheel brush came with the long handle. I've seen some with the short handle though.

To answer your question, the other longer handles will probably fit.

I just used the wash mop this week-end (for the first time). I got a '03 SuperCrew 4X4 with a cap. I could wash the cap and the roof while standing on step ladder. **look ma' no more moving the ladder**. I highly recommend it.
