Re: White paint care?s
White wax should last you about 3-4 months. It depends on the surrounding environment. Ultimate compound is more abrasive than white wax. A dedicated product will yield better results. But white wax is a very nice product.

Re: White paint care?s
There's lots of variables involved with how long a wax lasts.
There's a thing called the squeak test for testing if there is wax still present or not. If you do a search on here, you should find it.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

A good rule of thumb is it'll last 8 washes in ideal conditions.. Meaning little to no rain, a proper car wash shampoo such as Gold Class or even more ideal would be Megs Wash & Wax. If you want to crank up the 'ideal' conditions it would help if it's garaged overnight.. And don't forget a good spraywax such as Megs Ultimate Quik Wax will deffinetly help extend the life of your original protective layer.
8 washes w/o rain and it's time.
