  • Driveway Detailing Weekend Warriors

If you're like me, you spend time every weekend in the driveway detailing your pride and joy (or at least a family member's). This year, I finally got smart. I spent a few days searching and found a Black and Decker work/storage cart that is on wheels on Craigslist for $40. Cleaned it up using some Meguiars products. I move this cart around the vehicle with me from panel to panel. Keeping my stuff waist height and mobile is truly a process improvement. No more bending to pick up the DA machine, no more bending to pick up bottle of Megs product. Everything is within reach as I work. As a bonus, it holds all the routine items I use the most. At the end of the day, a gas grill cover slides over the top and keeps the cart and it's contents dry until the next weekend. I don't think B&D makes this cart anymore but if you look around, you may find something to help your process too.
I think I'm going to install a beverage holder onto the side (for my coffee cup of course)!
    Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Definitely a nice setup, surprised u haven't made ur way to the detailer line yet, all those consumer bottles get expensive after awhile.

Oh, I've got several items from the Detailer and Mirror Glaze lines as well. I think having a well stocked Walmart about 1.5 miles from me makes it so easy to just grab the Ultimate and Gold Class consumer items I need off the shelf, when I need it. One thing I found out this year is that even though Walmart doesn't stock the Mirror Glaze line on their store shelves, you can find most of it listed on their website and have it delivered to the store for pickup without any shipping charges.

Nice find! I like the consumer line too, especially the Ultimate line. I keep a tin of Gold Class Past around just in case I need something like that as my "Ultimate Carnauba" wax, and ColorX or White Wax as my "Ultimate Cleaner Wax". I reserve my pro lines for the paying gigs.

That is a fantastic car, Coach!!! You hit on something very important, and that's being as ergonomic as possible while detailing. And that certainly includes keeping all your products and buffer in easy reach without having to bend over all the time to reach them. Any basic car will do, but this one is especially nice! Gotta say, too, that we just love the fact that you detailed the cart before using it. Beautiful!!!
