  • opinions on a non meguiars brand

I just found a pretty cool site that offers detailing products and was wondering if anybody had experience using them. It's called car brite and looks pretty cool. Although I am a meguiars lover to the core, they seem to offer alot more detailing products for the professional.

Re: opinions on a non meguiars brand

That's a brand that is often used at the dealership level or in more "production" oriented detail facilities. That's not a bad thing, not at all. The vast majority of the driving public wouldn't know a swirl from a squirrel (as Mike Phillips would say) so they aren't necessarily looking for a true "show car shine" as we think of that here on MOL and on other detailing forums. And again, there's nothing wrong with that. This particular brand caters more to that environment, and enjoys great popularity in certain parts of the country. And there are many, many detailing supply companies that are very regional in nature - they might be hugely popular in the Pacific Northwest but nobody in Florida has ever heard of them. This particular company is certainly more than regional in distribution and awareness, but it's not a name you see used often in discussions by real high end detailers. Yes, some of them do indeed use some products from these folks, but it's just nowhere near as common at the high end of the industry. Overall, though, they do have a good reputation - even though we may not hear a lot of chatter from people using it regularly, at those who do mention using this line don't complain about it a lot.

Thanks mike! After doing more research on them u hit the nail on the head. Def not a show car shine as meguiars but like u said do offer more towards the high output shops. Plus after watching some of their training videos def aren't geared towards a show car look rather than just a good clean job. Good products I see but no where near as good as meguiars I think. And so my obsession with meguiars continues.

I love how all of the Meguiars guys will be up front and honest about other brands. That's why I am here and only use their products

I agree. If there's a better product out there they'll tell u straight up its a great product. But my main thing is the ease in use in all of their lines of products. That's what hooked me at 1st. My only complaint with meguiars is I wish they were able to branch out more in detailing tools and certain products and that sort of thing and then b able still have access to them even if its not available in the stores and something u could order online from them. Such as their old tool set they offered. Sure u might find them time to time but def b alot better if u could just go to them. I get the whole reason y they can't. Tho. But would b nice
