  • Scratch x remove clear coat

So today I was doing a touch up job in the driver's side door sill. My car is red, I used scratch x to level the touch up paint by hand and i believe I've gone through the clear coat around the touch up its gone a hazy red colour and bits of it have like white blotches. Kind of like a halo around the touch up job it's not too bad but there is slight colour transfer

Am I going to be okay to just leave it now even if it has no clear coat. And just cover up with scuff plates. Will the paint be okay? As it's not exposed to any sun

Well, if you are going to cover it over anyway, then you just want to make sure the metal has paint over it to keep rust from forming.
