  • Removing, "protect"

what`s the secret to removing PROTECT. seems like i can`t get it all off. cool garage, left it on the hood[cool] for 5 min. leaves a film like on it. waited 1 hour, can`t get it off. tried the trunk and roof, let it sit overnite. can`t get it off. using micro-fiber towels. seems to help if i use some warm water on the towels, but i should`nt have to. thanks in advance. the `57,'mqargie', needs your help.

With paint protect it has to be applied very thin. It does not need to sit on the paint that long. Follow what it says on the bottle. I believe it says somewhere between 3-5 mins as it does not haze like a traditional wax. Be sure to have plenty of microfibers and keep switching to a clean side and wipe off the residue. Fold the towel into 4's and flip to a clean section often. It is an oily product so you may not get it all in one pass. It's a pain if applied to thick.

It's been posted on here that paint protect has a 12 or 24 hour cure time on the bottle. I can't remember as I don't have the bottle in front of me at the moment. It's also been posted that it should not see water for 7-10 days to take advantage of the products full capability. A lot of the carrier oils will be washed away after the first wash.
