Need some advice on choosing my next car wash. I've tried the Gold Class in the past and was amazed with the results the wash mitt just seem to glide over the paint so easily. So far I'm undecided between these four: Sticking with Gold Class vs. Wash and Wax vs. D110 vs. D111

How does the wash and wax differ from the gold class? Is it that gold class doesn't have any polymers in it to help maintain the wax?
And how does the professional line products perform compared to say the gold class.

    Thanks in advance

You can't go wrong with any of those really.

Gold Class is my personal favourite, but for cost saving, I also use D111. To be honest, I can't really tell too much difference between GC and D111, except the D111 works out much cheaper.

The UWW is good too and leaves behind a tiny amount of wax, but it doesn't seem to quite have the cleaning power of the others in my experience.

I haven't tried D110, but have heard it also a good product...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Thanks I love the gold class as well, only reason I'm looking at the pro line is because of cost cutting as you said. I'll give the D111 a try next time.

D111 to me is Gold Class for the pro line. It's a good soap. I've switched to D110 and I like it better. The dilution ratio makes it more cost effective than D111.

If you like Gold Class, you're gonna like D111. The scent of it in the bucket is A+

Thanks. Do you guys actually measure the amount of product when diluting or just average and pour in a bucket?

I keep my car wash liquid in 12oz. Megs dispenser bottles. I have 1 filled with Gold Class, and another with Shampoo Plus, and on each of the bottles I took a Sharpie and made a mark at every 2oz. So yea, I pretty much always use 2oz. and then guesstimate 2 gallons of water into the bucket.

IMO, just over 2 gallons of soapy water is more than enough to wash a car.

Great idea! thanks never thought of doing something like that.

                  Re: Car Wash

Another easy trick to assist with diluting is to convert a regular disposable plastic cup into a measuring device. For example, lets say we are going to use 2 gallons of water, which at a 128:1 car wash translates to 2 oz's of car wash. Fill up a household measuring cup with 2 ounces of water and pour this 2 ounces of water into your plastic cup. Now with a permanent marker, mark a line on the side of the cup where the water sits and note "2 ounces." Toss the water and now you have a handy diluting cup which you can fill with 2 ounces of car wash each time you wash a vehicle.

Remember when using a car wash, the goal is not really to see how much suds and foam you can make, but should really be about diluting properly. One common mistake is dispensing car wash to the bottom of the bucket and then blasting it with a hose attachment or pressure washer. As a result your bucket ends up with about 3/4 foam and 1/4 diluted wash.

Dilute the car wash which ever way way works for you, don't blast it with water at the bottom of the bucket, and which ever car wash you prefer, this will ensure it will work it's best.

I have a pump on my gallon container and I have a small measuring cup that I use to measure out the amount I need.

I've always done that, i've always thought it mixes it better!

Even if it's added last it will fall to the bottom, then you need to use the mitt to scoup it up..

I have a pump as well. 1 pump is pretty close to one OZ.

Nick brought up a good point. I fill my bucket with about 2 gallons of water, just above the grit guard. Add the soap and swirl my hand inside the water to mix it. Then I will come back and blast it with a stream of water. You get suds and soap mixture.
