We just bought a new Subaru Forester in the medium blue color. I want to get a coat of wax or similar product on it before the harsh Michigan winter sets in. What would work best? I do not need a show car shine. A reasonable shine with the best protection to last through the winter is what I would prefer. Cleaning, swirl removal, etc. is not an issue at the moment.
I use Meguiars numbered and Flagship marine products on my boat, and have used Meguiars Gold Class liquid carnauba and also wash on other vehicles.
Is there something better to protect paint on a brand new vehicle than carnauba?
This vehicle is garage kept, but regularly covered in salt, and ran through touchless car wash systems on days above freezing. There are no viable alternatives to that method of wash.
