Hi I have to get a polish for the plastic chrome trim on my vehicle. I was wondering if the Dub Metal Polish would work or would something like the hot rims chrome polish be a better option. thanks

Re: Plastic Chrome Trim Polish
I wouldn't use a metal polish for this purpose. Plastic chrome trim is not the same as working with metal.
It is closer to a paint. I would try something like Ultimate Polish or even something like White Wax would probably clean that up nicely.
Make sure you clay it first. The clay will likely clean up the finish as well to an extent.

Re: Plastic Chrome Trim Polish
I used Meguiar's Chrome Cleaner on my chrome clad wheels, after it was recommend here on this site by a Meguiar's person. (can't find the thread) Those chrome clad wheels are only chrome on plastic, and permanently attached to steel wheels. Anyway it worked fine. Wheels looked terrific. Never used it on the other chrome plastic on the car body, but I would think it is the same ie chrome on plastic. That said, I have never used the chrome polish on chromed plastic body parts. For that I just use whatever I am using to wax the car.
