  • Tiring Evening After Work; A Wash and a Detailing Cart

I'm attending a car show this Saturday with over 400 Mustangs involved; it'll be my first show of the season! After driving The Tail of the Dragon a couple weekends ago, my car was left kind of buggy and nasty across the front end. So All this week I'll be prepping the car for the car show in the evenings after I get home from work. I started last night by assembling a cheap ($48) three shelf service cart from Harbor Freight for all of my detailing products. I wanted something to be able to put my DA on that I could wheel around the car. That thing was a PITA to assemble and ate up about an hour of my time!

I then set to washing the car with a two bucket wash. My pressure washing guys showed up as I was about to start to get on staining my fence. They decided to hold off because I was washing my car and did some brush clearing instead. Of course, as I'm finishing up and break out the electric leaf blower to start drying the car, it rains on me. I put the car in the garage and used an air-gun wand on my compressor to blow the car off as best as I could. It took forever! I then jambed the car and wiped down under the hood and the engine.

Tonight, I DA the car; it'll be my first time using a DA and I'm nervous. Anyways, here is my new detailing service cart. I'll be updating this thread with photos of the progress with the car during the week.

No need to be nervous! Just take things slowly and ask any questions as they come up throughout your process.

You've been here long enough to have soaked up a good deal of great information.

Start off slowly, have faith in yourself. And have fun!
