Hi, So I keep hearing that the soap the car washes use are too abrasive and dry out our paint and remove any existing wax. Is this true? The touch-less car wash down the street from my house just uses pressure washer, soap, and air to dry. They have the $7 option and the $9 option in which they supposedly use a wash n wax type soap. Are either of these good to use, and is it worth the extra $2 for the wax n wash? -- My main concern is stripping of the current wax and maintaining the shine on my paint.

Re: Touchless Car Wash Question.
Hello, I think it's true, the touchless car washes need to use harsh chemicals to make up for the lack of scrubbing, and unless you have a coating, organic waxes and even sealants will be greatly compromised in a touchless place, the best thing if you want to keep you car looking it's best is to do it yourself, if that's not an option you should look at getting your car coated. As far as the 2 bucks extra for wax I don't know if it's worth it but if you must wash it there you might as well pay 2dls more I mean it's 2 buck no sense in overthinking this, just keep in mind that like almost everything in life you get what you pay for and 2dls is not a lot of money.Francisco

Rinseless washing is another alternative if you are concerned about the water bill increasing.

Re: Touchless Car Wash Question.
Thanks for the update Nick. It;s a shame this is going away just like the 3" microfiber disks.
I am hearing a rumor that D163 Tire & Trim Gel is also being discontinued. Any truth to that rumor?

Lucky for me I still have 3/4 of a gallon left and should hold me for a few more years.
