This time of year I get a lot of leaves falling on my cars, mostly oak, as well as some small brown pellets. If it rains, both leave stains in the paint after drying that plain washing doesn't get out. Isn't wax supposed to prevent this?

Re: Wet oak leaves cause stains in paint even on Ultimate wax.
Our waxes do not prevent against certain environmental contaminants like in this case stains caused from the leaves sitting on the paint, or in other cases, water spots, or for example bird droppings stains. Keeping a good coat of wax on your paint at least 3 - 4 times a year will certainly help and provide a sacrificially barrier against elements on the environment, but not prevent. It is essentially asking your wax to be more resilient than the actual paint on the car, when these contaminants have the ability to stain actual paint.
Sorry to hear about the experience. Hopefully the stains are not too bad. For the above mentioned contaminants, our recommendation is to remove them off the paint asap before they have a chance to bond or etch.
