  • Over spray on wax isn't coming off?

So i have a 2017 white BRZ and i kind of over sprayed some spots a bit and it left a yellow stain. I guess let it stay on for a bit too long?(15 minutes) and i tried using meguiars scratch 2.0 and polishing on a orbital polisher, but it isn't coming off? Any solutions to fixing this?

You might want to try the Smooth Surface Clay Kit to remove the over-spray.

A paint cleaner like Scratch X should be able to get the stains out. You might just need a couple more applications.

        Hello,

Can you clarify exactly what the over-spray is? Thanks!

It is tough to tell from the pictures what is going on. I can barely see the yellow you are referring to in the picture.

I am assuming you are still dealing with this issue?

For whatever reason, sometimes certain stains respond better to chemical cleaning, as opposed to abrasive, like our Scratch X 2.0.

I am thinking along the lines of an automotive specific solvent. 3M has their Auto Advanced Adhesive Remover. It comes in an aerosol can. Although the name is adhesive remover, the details read it will remove wax, grease, and oil residue also. I have had good luck with it. Just remember anytime you use an automotive specific solvent, it is best to neutralize the area after application by washing with a car wash soap, and then re-apply a coat of wax.

You might try contacting CG for assistance also.

            Hope this helps.
