  • Understanding Ultimate Wax and Fast Finish

Can someone explain why Fast Finish is suggested to go on top of Ultimate Wax? My understanding of wax vs. sealants is that wax degrades faster (which aligns with UW claims vs. FF).

Putting UW on first seems like laying a sand foundation underneath concrete. The sand will wear out and the concrete will degrade because the base had less longevity than the top?

Is this not the case with FF? It seems to be marketed as longer lasting, but goes on top. They both seem to be pure polymer formulations as well though, so maybe UW "wax" is obsolete? Thanks for any insight you guys can offer.

Also, using this on a white car so the "deeper shine" probably isn't important. I've hear UW is good for this.

Ultimate Fast Finish can be used by itself or in addition to your favorite liquid/paste wax. The reason one would use it in addition to a liquid/paste wax, or on top, is because Ultimate Fast Finish mainly focuses on protection, and likely will not provide as high of gloss as a liquid/paste wax. By using UFF in addition, you can get the best of both worlds, gloss from the liquid/paste, protection from the Ultimate Fast Finish.
