1) Invest in a quality car cover
2) Wipe your car's finish down with a quick detailer and a microfiber polishing cloth.

Do I have to wipe all the dew off 1st before using the QD or can I just spray it over?
I would think it would be okay to mist your quick detailer onto of the dew and then remove both at the same time.
When you say morning dew, you mean light moisture, not puddles of water, correct?

This is what a friend of mine told me when I asked him this same question.
Poorboys Spray&Wipe has much more lubricity than Meg's Quik Detailer and would be safer to use on morning dew. The Meg's product has more gloss enhancers and fewer cleaning properties than S&W.
Anyone know if thats true?

The best thing to so would be a side-by-side comparison keeping as many of the variables the same. Then make up your own mind.
Just as important as a quality quick detailer would be a quality microfiber polishing cloth or plush, soft 100% cotton towel.
Let us know what you find out.

I know what you mean! I have found that if it is a "heavy" dew that I prefer to wash it rather than QD it. If it is only a light dew then QD'ing works great! Just make sure to spray enough on to cover the paint and then gently wipe-off.
