  • DCS Step 3 vs #26

What is the difference between these 2 products. I know they are both the high quality yellow wax, but what else differs between them?

Also, is #9/#26 a good combination?

And can #9 be removed with an orbital buffer with either a terry or MF bonnet?

Here is a great post on What are the differences between Meguiar's waxes.

You could remove #9 with your PC and a Microfiber Bonnet but... I feel it is easier to remove waxes with a PC and cleaners/polishes by hand. When using a cleaner/polish you apply it on a small area (say, 2x2) with you PC then remove before it dries. IMO, it can be a pain to keep removing you application pad from the PC and installing your clean pad with your bonnet, I find it time consuming in this case with the cleaners/polishes.

Now for a wax like #26, NXT, DC#3 and so on, I apply the entire car let it dry then change over to my clean pad with my bonnet and you are set to remove the wax.

      Hope that helps!

One more thing, I have used both #9 2.0 and #26(I like #26+NXt for lighter colors), I always keep them on hand. Both work great and are easy to use!
