  • Washing New Paint - Is it safe?

Just had my car repainted about 3 weeks ago [Aug 1]... is it safe to wash the car? They told me specifically to wait 4 weeks before "doing anything"... but the car could use a wash... am i ok to wash it?

    Sure!

It's perfectly safe to wash your car's new paint and if it's dirty, it's a good idea. Use a premium quality car wash and the best wash mitt you can find. A Grit Guard is an invaluable tool for maintaining your car's finish.

Remember that the fresh paint might not have attained full hardness yet, so be especially careful not to grind any dirt into the finish and to wash/dry with nice soft materials.
